You just moved into your new place and are excited to settle in… when all of a sudden, you get turned into a mouse!
Thankfully, you soon meet a fellow rodent who knows how to help. He asks you to call him "Chief," and explains that there's only one way to break the curse: by ridding the whole apartment building of the ghosts that haunt its inhabitants. As you investigate each apartment, you'll slowly uncover evidence that something far more ominous is going on with this building — and it seems the Chief knows more about the curse than he's letting on.
Mousebusters started as a mobile game. Thanks to your support, it surpassed 500,000 downloads and was selected as a Top 3 finalist at the Google Indie Games Festival 2021. And yet, there was always a nagging feeling that we hadn't quite finished what we set out to do. This Steam / Nintendo Switch remake was our chance to finally settle that unfinished business.
The one thing we most wanted to bring to life in the remake is "the mouse's-eye view." The feeling of a room you once lived in as a human suddenly becoming a vast, unknown world the moment you shrink down to mouse size — that idea has always been at the heart of the game. This time, we rebuilt it as something you can physically walk through and discover for yourself.
The original mobile version was heavily story-driven. For the remake, we kept the world and narrative intact, but added a lot of hands-on play — exploration, exorcism shooting, minigames. Getting sidetracked, failing, stumbling across something weird: we believe those unplanned moments are what make games worth playing, and we think this one has plenty of them.
Another highlight is the sheer number of parodies we snuck in. The giant robot anime and energy drink references from the original are still there, but the density of little jokes and nods has gone way up. We hope it comes across that we had a great time making this.

Stay in frequent contact with the Chief from his comfy desk at HQ. He offers plenty of guidance — and comedic commentary — as you scour the building and solve puzzles.
Whip out your trusty ray gun for a good ol' fashioned exorcism. Dodge projectiles while targeting weak points to expose each ghost's spectral core.
